Complete House Remodel
Exterior & Interior Design: Space Plan, Detailing, Specifications
Respect the Roots
The home was kept in its original condition by the previous owners but the finishes were outdated and tired. The clients wanted to do an overhaul to improve on the layout of the home and its finishes without ignoring the roots of the home. Most of the exterior was retained, including the stucco texture and the original windows on the front facade. The landscape and the exterior finishes were updated with mindful changes, such as the decorative tile accents and the terracotta tiles, as well as the new paint colors.
The interior spaces were connected better to each other with some wall modifications and better use of space. Without having to add square footage to the home, a new Family Room, Play Room, Office, Powder Room, Mudroom, and Master Bathroom & Closet was added. Custom cabinets were designed to continue the theme of functionality with the right look. New lighting fixtures were specified while also reusing some of the original ones. The finish materials were carefully chosen to be long lasting and unique. When the tasteful furniture and art was added by the client, the look was completed successfully. This project was a real team effort, which brought ease and joy to the process.
